About me
Hello! I’m Nick, the person behind [Business]
My Journey: From Teen Hobbyist to Tech Expert
My fascination with PC’s began way back in 1994. My father brought home an Intel 486 PC for my brother and me – running at a whopping 25MHz! I was instantly hooked. I devoured every issue of my PC Pro Magazine subscription, comparing parts prices listed in the back pages, and soon enough, I was confidently fiddling with components and upgrading that very machine. It wasn’t long before my next-door neighbour and I figured out how to physically network our computers together – this was before WIFI!
This early passion naturally led me down a technical path. In the ‘noughties’ (2000s), I studied for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification and after gained valuable real-world experience working in the IT departments of a couple of secondary schools in Essex.
Going Solo
In 2010, I took the leap into self-employment, initially operating as a ‘mobile PC doctor’, providing on-site technical support to homes and small businesses for many years. The landscape shifted with the COVID-19 pandemic. This prompted me to use remote support tools more, allowing me to continue helping clients safely and effectively.
Fixing Faster – No Doorbell Required
After successfully supporting clients remotely, even during extended periods when I was personally away, the advantages became undeniable. Recognising these benefits, I made the decision to transition entirely to a remote-only support service.
By removing the need to travel, I can start helping you faster — often the same day. And because I’m not spending time on the road, I can assist more people each day, which helps keep my prices lower.
While I enjoyed visiting clients in person (and the occasional cup of tea!), offering a purely remote service means I can provide faster, more affordable help — no matter where you are.
